Barely breathing, hardly here
A life soon passing, drawing near
Walls of the soul keep closing in,
To where it's going,
And where it's been

Darkly shadows, wicked light
Both sit at your side tonight
Faint, muted voices calling you,
To bring it home,
And dawn anew

Lifetime passing, by the eyes
Truths be told, wears no disguise
Cleansing soul prepares a course,
With all its good,
Less its remorse

Lifting upwards, Heaven brings
Angles with untarnished wings
Guide it to the promised place,
And taste the light,
Of sweet embracen
