Dark distant blood of mine feeling no pain
Guiding those demons into your vein
Drifting far away into those dreams
Slaying that dragon inside your brain

Your place here on earth wasn't your tea
Searching for a way to set the Devil free
Finding your faith in a magic white bag
Never raising your voice to make a plea

What secret did you carry
All the way in the ground
What answer did you seek
That couldn't be found
Were you losing the battle
Before it even started
Why were you in a hurry
To walk with the departed
When your eyes were open
Tell me what did you fear
Filled up with illusions
That you don't belong here

You knew all along it wasn't your place
All I had to do was look at your face
Saw all the lines that made it so clear
One more battle with the dragon was near

Things never changing, always the same
