"Dancing Soul"

Dancing soul lingers in the dark
She awaits his call below the moon
Amongst dead, fallen trees in the woods
Hears a whisper, "I'll be coming soon"

Her mortal life carried too much pain,
Heartache, loss- dancing in her brain
She wished one night upon the sky
In a dark, haunting voice came her reply:

"Lovely mortal if that's what you wish,
Close your eyes and think of me
Of a soul you want that feels no pain
No loss, no ache- then dance with me"

She knew for sure that he would come
That night she felt his cold, calm voice
Tingles in her spine, she felt his chill
"You'll soon be mine; you made the choice"

So this be the night he come at last
Her mortal life will soon to past
"Take me by my hand, don't mind the cold
You will soon to pass, but won't grow old"

Dancing soul, dancing endlessly
Dances in the shadows of eternity
Dancing with a soul, so cold and dead
Dances without pain living in her head
